That’s why the “hustling culture” is so important and prevalent in our society right now.
Everyone “knows” someone that made bank with either youtube, selling some pyramid-scheme product, bitcoins, some collectibles, craft beer, lottery… you name it.

Social media (and before that was TV) is selling us the idea that there’s a shortcut to becoming rich, you just need to find it, hustle, and you will become one of the rich persons.

That’s also why there’s so much cult of wealth and billionaires.

That said, a large portion of Millennials and after them have a rather negative view of billionaires and are rather skeptical of becoming rich, or even becoming home owners.

Not sure why you’ve got downvoted, but that’s the reason why all Baltic states had such a reaction when the invasion started.

That said, I would say that most of those states are highly socialistic despite having pretty much allergy to anything red and while preferring a capitalist system that doesn’t mean they want or support billionaires.

Wake up, stand up, talk about your work vaguely enough there are no questions.

I think the open source angle is slightly incidental: They saw Apple’s and Microsoft app stores as a threat and decided using linux as the OS for their devices. That’s at least what I’ve read a long time ago.

The best they made, for me, was Morrowind.

While I enjoyed the rest of entries and I’m very fond of the Shivering Isles, IMO it was the originality of it, its story and art, but also the freedom it granted.

My advice would be to go back to that time and instead of massive places, just build a fun place to explore.

Procastination is a fun costume our fears wear. I’ll do anything if I can avoid calling someone, it stresses me a lot. But knowing it and dealing with it helps me.

That said, roleplaying someone that’s good calling sometimes helps as catharso said. Just don’t do any MGS voice.

laziness is a symptom IMO, often a self-protection mechanism out of fear.
I’ve met many people that decided they’ll rather not do the thing than see themselves fail and prove whomever triggered that fear right.

Also IMO, when wired differently, some tasks are easier and some tasks take more work, but if we let ourselves (and others) judge us for how easy or hard a task is for us, we condition ourselves to avoid the latter.

Then again, I know people that had the right support behind them, and even though they initially sucked donkey balls at the thing, they powered through it and became mediocre, but very happy.

I want to be mediocre and happy. :)

Note: There’s no judge harsher than ourselves.
