    Italian Sailor:

    • 1 oz lime juice
    • 1.5 oz sailor Jerry rum
    • 1 oz aperol
    • 0.5 oz Malibu
    • 0.5 oz simple syrup

Shake over ice and strain into glass. Serve up in a chilled glass or on the rocks.

Slightly sweet from the rum and simple syrup, balanced by the aperol and lime.

Could also be made with egg whites for a creamier texture.

I’m loving a summer negroni with gin, campari, and lemonade. I guess some places are adding grapes and calling it an enzoni? It would be good and a little lighter with Aperol, so I’ll submit…

    1 part gin

    1 part Aperol

1 or 2 parts lemonade as preferred

    Shake and pour over ice.

Topped with soda in a tall glass if you prefer a cooler.

I’m not entering the contest but wrapping up August with an Aperol cocktail and maybe the best one, an adjusted Paper Plane.

    2oz bourbon

    1.5 oz lemon

    1 oz Aperol

    1 oz Amaro Nonino

    Splash of Campari

Shaken and strained half into a couple, half into a little cup to put in the freezer, but both are for me tonight. Happy end of August, last day to enter or vote.

    Dead Man’ Handle

    1.5 oz White Tequila

    .5 oz Aperol

    .5 oz Lime Juice

    .5 oz Orgeat

Shake vigoursly over ice and serve in a tall glass over crushed ice. Sprinkle some Tajin on top.

I tried coming up with my own take on this and none of the changes I tried made it better. There’s a bar near me that makes their own sesame orgeat and I bet that would be good.

This looks really good. A margarita variation! I am out of the clear tequila but will try it soon.
