I thought the same about BotW. Between the lack of story by default (you have to search it out through specific pictures that you damn well be able to know the landscape and match it up) and the sparse music and themes of previous Zelda games. It felt like the SMB2 of Zelda games, you could have titled it something else with a different protagonist and it would have been its own game.

Thank you… I hate all the people who are “we’ll permanently destroy the earth and it’ll never recover!” crowd. Yeah to add to that it is pronounced more like “Mass-tah-don” rather than “Mass-toe-don”. The “tah” portion makes people think it’s spelled with a “ta” since that would give you that pronunciation normally instead of “to”. One of the many insane quirks of the English language stealing from other languages over the centuries.

Control is another thing. I can’t tell you the amount of execs I’ve heard say “they’re losing control of their company” or “I don’t feel I have the same control over my people”. It’s crazy that they think that. What do they think the past 3 years have been when they’ve gotten record profits “oh, but our profits would be even better if we had people back in the office”. Sadly no amount of data will override the entrepreneurial “it could always be more” what if that they throw out.

It could also be a misconfigured GPO that is blowing away the mappings. Or a script that is defined in the GPO. GPOs are usually scheduled to run every 90 minutes with up to a 15 minute variance in either direction. That would cause it to keep breaking throughout the day. The script above would get you fixed but until the root cause is discovered you’d have to keep running it.
But the beard and your clothes are all things you control. You don’t expect someone to change their looks for you. So likewise you shouldn’t be expecting developers to meet your stylistic demands.
Given the activity pub nature I think the closest you would get would be to filter by an instance. So your home instance would get all the ones it sees via the pub and then could filter based on name. To get a true “local” view you’d either have to auth anonymously as a different user (couldn’t comment) or would have to log in to that instance as one of their users (disjointed comment history).
Edit: I think this goes under the umbrella of allowing individuals to filter instances, just a reverse application of it. I know that’s an oft talked about feature.
