When I buy a game, I want a game.
Not yet another platform to bleed my wallet dry.

Hey now that’s not fair.
We have a globally recognized national pastime that defines who we are as a people really well.
We lead the developed world in mass shootings.
No one lets their kids shoot their other kids as they gawk and do nothing (except make ad revenue off the coverage) like us Americans. pew pew pew Murica pew pew. 🇺🇸
Coldest, shortest summer of the rest of our lives.
Hope all the Pop Figures were worth it.

Market capitalism is destroying us, our homes, and literally our only habitat.
Their guard gates are mostly decorative. We could save our species and the habitability of the planet.
Instead some think we can petition the government they’ve fully owned for half a century to mitigate the harm they bought our government to commit with abandon, lol.
And if this somehow fails impress you, we sold over 200 billion in tools of mass murder to the rest of the world last year alone as well!
Murica 🇺🇸, profiting off human misery since our inception, the British Empire apparently passed that torch.
If you did, you’d almost certainly have been taught some bullshit revisionist fiction showing friendly US officials probably eating with the Lingít people and teaching them how to do what the Lingít excelled at.
Honestly given the indignity, it’s probably better they aren’t mentioned in our K-12 “history”
Incremental change would have been fine in the 1970s when the world should have instituted it, including incrementally reducing industry to absolute necessities like medical products, and individual developed world quality of life, to find homesotasis with our only habitat.
Now it’s smash the factories today, and accept the hundreds of millions dead breaking those poisonous supply chains, including possibly ourselves, for humanity to have any non-nightmarish future on a planet we terraformed to be hostile towards Human life for the next couple million yers.
But having absolutely failed to institute incremental change half a century ago despite warning, and absolutely failing to take drastic action now that we are just beginning to feel our irreversible fine work, our species clearly and resolutely chooses no future/nightmare susbsistance future, or at the very least there wouldn’t be a pop figure/pointless plastic crap factory left standing in the world. 🔥🤷♂️🔥
What I find the most ridiculous is what we’re doing: resolutely choosing death by actions, while still strangely preaching hope for a future. WuT a weird fucking species we were.
Ah thank you for the clarification! Sorry socials can be hostile places didn’t mean to take that the most hostile way.
You make it sound as if I’m the one that brought Starfield up out of nowhere in relation to Skyrim/TE6.
I know I’m in the minority, but I fucking love Starfield.
It’s a galactic scale zen garden when I need peace.
It’s a shooter/space combat sim when I choose violence.
There’s things that aren’t good about it, it needs so many more factions, followers, and NPC interaction points to fill the fish bowl that’s there, but there’s so much to love too, IMHO.
In a time where MOST major studio games have turned to no effort live service dogshit, I think hating on flawed but grand games like Starfield as just more unsalvagable garbage is just an invitation to studios to keep churning out actual garbage like Suicide Squad since there’s no pleasing modern gamers so don’t bother trying, just lean entirely on an IPs nostalgia.
OK, fess up… Who used magic to bring him to life?
If you really love triangles, it becomes a new sexual orientation.
When AI becomes sapient, r0zeclawz is first.
I hear you, and that’s a valid point, but I see that more as a function of our insatiable need for the primary driver of our destruction: growth/metastasis.
Growth is precisely what is destroying us. We need to find homeostasis with this world. We need to slow down, stop expanding supply chains, and work on making what powers these 100% clean first and foremost. Because right now, most electrics are functionally dirty too, their pollution just happens higher up the chain.
We won’t do that of course, because the reality is most people in the developed world need to accept that wasteful things like fast food, ridiculous amounts of meat, and plastic that serves no necessary purpose, everything from pop figures to disposable water bottles available to people with reusable vessels out of convenience, need to be made illegal yesterday if we want our species to have a decent future.
But our creature comforts are more important to us, and we will punish any politicians that try to call for genuine sacrifice. 🔥🤷🔥
It’s a Tesla problem in that it is a bumrushing tech that hasn’t matured for what it’s being used for because profit motive.
And no, if the tech isn’t mature to be both useful AND safe in the event of failure operating in the world, it belongs in the lab, not up for sale.
We shouldn’t be mass producing any vehicles that become bombs/environmental disasters that standard fire and rescue can’t appropriately address with reasonable tools upon crashing, because they inevitably will.
Its a market capitalism problem. Fire, ready, aim because rush the pos to sale. Musk is certainly a standard bearer as a prominent “get government and society’s wellbeing out of the way of my quarterly profit expectations” asshole sociopath capitalist.
Awesome!
Now lets collude to sell it for $12 minimum an ounce, and use our wealth/media bully pulpit/bribed legislators to sue/buy out/threaten/slander any interlopers who attempt to make lemonade honestly at low margins for a reasonable price!
