He’s fine. Spent most of the day gaming and chilling. Doses of panadol and nurofen kept the fever down. Coughs a bit, but okay.

And little is kind of misleading…he’s nearly 15 and 6 ft tall 😂

Dumb question, but how do you look after a teenager? Just throw them some medication and a console controller? Make sure they are fed and hydrated?

Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Get him to take his temperature and adjust meds as needed. Make sure he’s eating (eggs and chicken are doing the job). It’s way easier than a toddler.

Last night we ended up watching old Simpson’s eps and he fell asleep on the couch, where I left him.

thats so strange to me. I’m so used to them being dependent on us. Not sure how it’ll feel when that comes to an end.

It was quite gradual, so you don’t really notice until one day you do notice and then you need a moment to gather yourself.

The journey was all worth it. I still look back at hiking photos from like 4 years ago and kids look like totally different people.

The best part is that they can help out with stuff. This Friday I’ve got some minor maintenance items to attend to at home, and my son will be helping whether he likes it or not.

Goodness! Lol for some reason I pictured a smaller younger child, probably because mine are! They don’t do much last week of term anyway.

Hahaha…yeah I still say kiddos, but they’re both teens and pretty grown up. His teachers emailed him his work for the rest of the term and over the holidays, and his sister is emptying his locker this week.

            He’ll be fine education wise.
