So I didn’t replace mine the last time it broke, and now use the grill cos I was feeling ornery. Also, people do change the settings to their own personal preferences AND DON"T CHANGE THEM BACK - which is major uncivilised conduct in a shared kitchen. You might like to acquire one and keep it in your room to protect the settings you prefer. Just clean out the crumb tray regularly so it doesn’t catch fire.
I bought a cheap two slice to replace my trusted old sunbeam four slice thinking it was super old and took up too much space. The new one doesn’t catch crumbs very well at all and now I’ve taken to make two english muffins for breakfast. My only downsizing blunder.
