NsCDE is amazing it genuinely has like the most consistent look of any desktop I’ve used and it looks so good and works so well

It would be nice if the exterior display was just like an e ink one that showed a clock and notifications like the little lcds on old flip phone lids
About $200 for a used flagship from a couple years ago. I currently have a oneplus 9 I bought used last year and it’s completely fine, there’s nothing important I’m missing from any higher end phone
I use a computer btw
A lot of venues require events to use ticketmaster so the artists often have no choice
Wait people like automatic bathroom fixtures?? Every time I go into a bathroom with them they make my life so much harder than it needs to be. Especially automatic toilets, those things are genuinely one of the most horrible things to ever be invented
It’s definitely been awful in the Eastern US so I believe it. The heat index in my house has been over 100 F almost every day for most of the past month or so
I will never understand how anyone can use a layout like this
Honestly I kind of hate this font, I’m definitely going to change it if it becomes the default. It looks too much like Arial and I think both are horrible, especially for UIs
Did you buy your motherboard used? I wonder if it came out of that system and the builder was somehow able to change the DMI information
Yeah I also have one of these I’ve used on linux for years, it’s always worked perfectly. Better than windows honestly since the one time I made the mistake of booting windows with it connected, windows found some driver that it automatically installed that instantly deleted all of my profiles so I had to go set them up again with piper. I didn’t like that very much, that was the last time I ever booted windows on one of my primary computers
I wonder if more memory still increases post time even on modern computers that don’t do a full test on every boot. I feel like I’ve noticed faster post on computers with less ram compared to ones with more but I haven’t gotten around to actually testing changing the amount on the same computer
Last time I used windows 10 on one of my computers an update somehow got stuck so I just turned off the computer and I was never able to get windows to boot again because of how broken the registry was. This was probably around 2019
Just turn it off right after it shuts down before the OS starts booting again. (Or just turn it off whenever, it’s not like there’s much chance of filesystem corruption these days. Although there is a chance of registry corruption if you’re using windows and it’s updating, which is honestly worse to fix)
I realized a while ago that there’s nothing stopping me from writing rust like this
;println!("This is great")
;println!("I think everyone should write rust like this")
;println!("Probably works in most languages that use semicolons")
;
Looks very similar to the Windows CE device action retro has in this video so what he used could be helpful https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=anz17CNMixU
Steam curators are such a stupid feature, why would I care about reviews from some specific person instead of just general users? Also clearly a lot of the curators haven’t played the game because lots of them already have reviews on unreleased games
I don’t get how people manage to spend so much time keeping arch running. I used it on my laptop for a few years and it just worked?? It was like the easiest to maintain distribution I’ve used other than immutable ones. The only real problems I ever had were accidentally interrupting pacman during a kernel update and not having a kernel, but that was always a like 2 minute fix
Robocraft used to be good, but I don’t know if it being rated mostly positive and being good ever overlapped
Is it faster than pfetch? Everything slower than pfetch really annoys me
