I Learned recently that the “.” After “S” in Harry S Truman is actually unnecessary because his middle name is quite literally “S”. Sounds like the medical examiners were lazy, just relying on police reports to shirk their responsibility to investigate the cause of death. Either that or just assholes with a boner for the cops. Unless they are getting kickbacks.
