We’ll my reading comprehension is quite shitty in the morning. Carry on with the down votes.

I don’t know if it’s even possible anymore (heck it’s hard for me at 40), but try to put something in retirement funds. If your work as a 401k, try and contribute. If you leave the job, your money can then go to an IRA. How do you do that? Beats me - I have five or six requirement accounts, each topping out at around between $2-5k.
Also, brush your teeth and if you grind them in your sleep - get a dentist to fit you for a mouth guard.
Edit: wow, down votes for teeth health.
Edit edit: reading comprehension isn’t my strong suite.
I started a new position in my company in February 2020, just weeks before the lock down. Since then I’ve been almost entirely working from home, coming into the office maybe 10 days over the past 4 years.
During that time I’ve been promoted, gotten a separate pay raise to a new band, helped onboard the entire rest of my team (two of whom are completely remote).
I’ve done nothing but prove over and over again that I am excelling at my job remotely.
They are still pushing for me to come back to a “hybrid” 3 day a week schedule. Madness.
I mean at least Biden is a slow roll, Trump would rather nuke them.
Yeah, I may catch flak but I wouldn’t be inclined to ditch windows altogether. Unless you literally only do web browsing on your laptop, there’s a high likelihood you may run into a few things that need troubleshooting to get working under Linux, and dual being able to switch back to Windows seamlessly is a huge help/comfort.
If you can find the model number or service tag, that would be a big help for troubleshooting.
There should be a sticker under your laptop with a bunch of tiny text, or if I recall correctly you can use System Information. See this article
There should be a a button that you can press repeatedly to open up a boot menu - it can be the delete key, f2, etc.
Depending on how new your laptop is, you may need to disable something called “Secure Boot”. Keep in mind if your windows installation is encrypted with BitLocker or whatever else Windows is using these days. If it is encrypted, and you have secure boot enabled you may run into issues booting back into Windows - it will freak out that secure boot was disabled and require your encryption key.
At least, that’s what happened with my ROG Zephyrus M16 - I had to find my BitLocker key to boot into Windows and then decrypt it using the settings menu.
Also, if you want to be able to use both Windows and Linux - see if your laptop has an expansion port for a second hard drive. Windows historically has screwed over dual booted Linux grub with updates, and if you can just boot to a entirely different drive that won’t happen.
There’s a question that has always bothered me. Wtf do you do now that you have an obviously stolen, used catalytic converter? Find an unscrupulous junk yard? Take it to a pawn shop?
Plus oh-my-zsh and the powerline 10k theme - this is my go-to shell.
I’m a few months into using CachyOS on my zephyrus gaming laptop and it’s been a joy.
I actually ran into my first issue yesterday and had to boot into the windows drive for the first time in what feels like forever - I needed a Windows only display editor program for Nextion screens.
I tried the installer on bottles and playonlinux, But I couldn’t get the program to load. I will try again today so that if I have to load it up in the future I don’t have to switch back to Windows, but on the off chance anybody knows how to fix it I’m all ears.
Yeah, and she can use boulders to block attacks - but it looks like the main method of attacking will be using echos of baddies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I cannot over state how much I love that “Legend of Zelda” finally stars Zelda, not to mention the art style… But why did they give her apparently no offensive capabilities? Why wouldn’t she be able to swing a sword? I want to see my Zelda kick ass, not summon monsters to fight for her.
Moon reader is my go-to. Unfortunately it doesn’t sync reading progress, but since I only read on my tablet it’s not too bad.
Oh snap, are you the developer of Viewtube? If so, first off - great job. I do the infrastructure side of IT for my day job but aside from some basic go, I couldn’t code something like this to save my life.
I wish I had the chops to contribute to the project.
This. My first serious network upgrade was splitting out the router/firewall, Wifi, and switching to a Ubiquiti Edgerouter Lite, 8 port Netgear managed switch, and a Ubiquiti AP Pro.
It ended up being around the price of a night hawk, but I had way better control over the firewall/NAT rules and it made future upgrades less painful as I could just target the switching vs WiFi for a change.
As a side note, nearly all wifi routers that I’ve come across can act as just a access point. My current setup is using the Orbi mesh wifi system to get a decent signal to my attic bedroom.
This game was easily one of my favorites to playthrough blind, then go back and do a 100% achievement run. “Choices matter” actually applies as main characters can just die, and their absence completely changes the outcome of the game.
It was a delight.
David Bowie and Prince were holding this all together. When they went, the world lost its mind.
I’m playing something every night before bed as my calm/reset time.
Just finished up Yakuza: Like A Dragon - that ending hits hard. I’ll probably go for something different next.
I still use my gaming laptop - but mostly just for Last Epoch multiplayer/BG3. I don’t like the controller experience for either game, and i have a better voice setup for multiplayer chat on my PC.
I wish someone would actually drop the full leak somewhere. It would be interesting to read this myself.
Oh, I think CachyOS looks interesting - I’ll try that one first. Thanks!
Three days per work week “on average” - but with no details over what timeframe that average is calculated.
