I swear, it’s not long ago that people were touting that we could finally have decent microtransactions in games thanks to blockchain
Sorry that this is really what caught my attention, but when did anyone ever think this?

You didn’t come with receipts either, you know.

Asperger’s likely plays a big part here.
It’s pretty well-known (as he admitted on SNL in 2021) that Elon Musk has Asperger’s Syndrome. This is evident in his inability to understand social cues and appropriate communication, his hardwired complete lack of empathy, and his strange and overpowering obsession with the letter X. He probably thinks he’s being edgy or hilarious without understanding that there are social consequences for those things that he does not have the ability to comprehend in the moment. Even scarier, actually, if you look into the history of the man the condition was named for (Hans Asperger) and some of the things he was into… you know, like generic purity and being a Nazi.
That’s a cascade. Capitalism represents an aesthetic and intellectual approach that values reason, order, and balance, drawing inspiration from the enduring legacy of ancient Greece and Rome.
there’s no point commenting or interacting cause pretty much everything gets you banned
Holy hyperbole, Batman! If you’re not posting like an edgy teenager then reddit is decently usable.
The insane reactionary takes against reddit on Lemmy are getting really tiring. Come on, guys.
No. There’s nothing in the link you provided that suggests they came here illegally. There’s plenty to hate Trump for, so please stop wasting energy spreading bullshit that takes away from fact.
Huh, TIL. Thanks for sharing this info.
The printers in the article are using toner. The title is misleading.

I’m in the US and I see this if I zoom out a bit.
Do you live under a rock? She’s possibly the most popular female country singer (after Dolly Parton) and the 2nd most well-known American Idol winner (after Kelly Clarkson).
I mean, she’s dead to me along with Snoop Dogg after all of this but by no means is she a nobody.
The original comment that garnered a one word response wasn’t mine. Thanks though.
You’re right, it’s not an argument. But it’s a perfectly sufficient reply to a one-word question that doesn’t properly provide an argument of its own.
Ever hear of the prisoner’s dilemma?
Ah yes, the feed starting with an ad, followed by a reels module alternating between soft porn and dogs, followed by bots and more ads, maybe interspersed with a couple of posts by people whose names I recognize for good measure, are well worth my time. No need to virtue signal, I’m hooked!
The good news is that the main contingent of people upset about TikTok getting banned have willingly rotted away their attention spans (ironically, through TikTok) to do anything meaningful about it. The moment they realize being mad takes effort they’ll find something else to do.
That was satire.
