It is pretty safe to assume that people who claim they value human life are not lying about it. Why isn’t valuing human life accepted by the courts? That’s a fucked up society is what it is.

I haven’t played 3, but I say 2 over 1 because it actually fucking works. You can’t get randomly trapped in way too powerful zones, corpses disapper so you don’t trip on them, you can’t get cursed so badly you have to backtrack the entire known world, etc. Also, whoever designed Blighttown took the “bug infested swamp” theme WAY too literally.
The interlocking map is certainly “cool”, but as far as gameplay is concerned, it’s pretty much the worst way to lay out a world, because you can’t easily get from one place to another, and it will very quickly confuse everybody. There’s one level, new londo ruins, that you can’t attempt without using a pretty rare consumable each time, and when I was attempting it, firelink shrine was extinguished, meaning I had to run for like 5 minutes before each attempt on top of the consumable problem.
Hbomberguy has a great video about it, you should definitely check it out if you are interested in the games, he obviously puts it much better than I can
I’m a pacifist and my favorite game is dark souls 2. This is because I am aware of the difference between games and reality.
Saying it is good enough. It’s not unreasonable to think a regular person might be against human rights abuses. You can’t demand that citizens go support your imperialist regime just because they only indirectly show support for human life.
Russia isnt doing a genocide, they’re just Fighting a war over land. You can tell by the fact that Putin speaks about Crimeans as if they’re equivalent to Russians, while Israel has made it clear they consider all Palestinians to be animals.
True, but they’re not a bad person for lying to you.
Right, they were trying to not die. That is what everybody will do in this scenario. That’s the kind of thing that happens when you murder somebody, the victim is generally opposed to your plan, and so they typically do not do as you wish. An execution that plans to have the victim of it go along with the plan is simply idiotic.
Seems like a pretty small price to pay to prevent murder. In fact, I’d go so far as to say you’re a bad person if you’re not willing to pay that price.
If a natural human response messes up your execution, you should absolutely blame the method.
You act like running a country is hard. The only hard part of running America is hiding all your bribes.
Ahh, 2 tons of duck beaks actually aren’t heavy enough, actually
What if you’re right though? Isn’t then a perfectly good time to lie? If you know for sure that the death penalty is evil (which doesn’t seem too big a leap given the facts), then it’s wrong not to lie to people to get them to stop it. Otherwise you’d be saying that your own morality outweighs the humanity of others. If it results in no death penalty, it was a good action. People act like the ends aren’t justifying the means in 99.99% of cases. It is notable specifically when the ends do not justify the means. If the ends are preventing murder, and the means is lying, there is no question whether lying is justified.
Conservatives such as Joe Biden. It’s all the same scam, stop falling for it
There is nothing we can do to make Biden stop supporting genocide other than vote him out. Yeah trump might also do it, but he didn’t the first time. And certainly the guy who might is better than the guy who definitely will.
I am perfectly fine with my country doing nothing more than providing military support only as requested by the rest of the UN, and otherwise doing nothing. Ideally that would be America’s role in every armed conflict. The reason they’re even able to do a genocide is having American backup and weapons. End that and the genocide is over. Iran could flatten Israel in a day if Israel didn’t have the threat of the US military behind them.
There is no other issue. America is helping to commit a genocide. Tax rates, or hell even attempted coups, mean nothing in comparison.
We do talk shit. Have you seen a late show in the last 8 years? But it’s pretty irrelevant to being president, so it’d be dumb to focus 9n that rather than the 30k other things.
Not helping your countries ally bomb someone is in no way illegal. In fact, it’s a lot more likely that the reverse will be true. Bombing people is bad, as it turns out.
I don’t have to fuck him, why should I care?
I have no illusions as to him being a good president. But the Israel issue is significant enough that he’s worth it. And literally just saying he would stop interfering in it makes him a MAJOR upgrade over the current genocider-in-chief.
Murder and being against human suffering are 2 wildly different things. I have absolutely no problem taking people at their word on matters of base humanity. Not so for murder. You can tell they’re different because one is a felony. If somebody happens to lie about being a decent person to get out of the military, great, more power to em. Whatever they do instead will be far more useful than fighting some pointless war.
The reason their word is good enough is that they’re not denying a crime, they’re claiming a positive. If everyone started claiming they’re a pacifist, things would get better, not worse.
