They needed an easy way to tell stores/distributors how popular they thought each of their games would be, to help them decide how many of a certain title the distributor should order. The games expected to be GotY contenders would be marked AAA, AA for otherwise decent games, A for more niche games and B for “this is a starshot, we’re hoping it will sell enough to justify production costs”. That then lead to more and more games being marked as AAA due to budgets getting increased, and the whole system became a bit redundant.

As someone who’s played a lot of GW2 over the past couple of years, I can confirm that it’s still fantastic. It doesn’t get anywhere near the amount of content that WoW gets, but it’s on a good cadance these days and outside of buying expansions, is absolutely playable without spending a penny.

I thought this was some humanoid donkey before I read the prose. After reading, I guess I was still right in a way.

I felt a little let down when I saw Angel Beats, to be honest. I really enjoyed the ending, and a few plot points here and there, but it felt like they had too much content for a 1-cour show and not enough for a 2-cour, so it ended up feeling a bit rushed, jerking between comedy and tragedy.

Though I think my issue was expecting it to live up to the heights set by Clannad, the eternal final boss of cry-porn. Clannad drained me in a way I didn’t think was possible, and rewatches of key scenes STILL destroy me years later. I can’t go near wheat fields anymore. 11/10, would have multiple breakdowns while contemplating the value of family, again.

The 4-panel comic features Nano Shinonome, a robot girl from the anime Nichijou, leaving a positive message on 4-chan about Hakase (professor), an 8-year-old genius who invented and built her. Being a robot, she feels she can’t morally click the captcha to show she’s not a robot, and is therefore unable to post the message, despite that she wouldn’t be considered a robot in this context.

How the fuck does a chat program justify a workforce of one thousand employees in the first place?! How do they expect to ever get in the green when they’re spending that much money on staff?

Is their entire business model to just endlessly pull in V.C. money and “grow” until they can’t get investors on board anymore? Actually, don’t answer that one, I assume that’s how almost every tech company works these days, and at some point it’s all going to crash.

Nah, the final arc is huge, far too long for even a 2 cour season, and there’s still a mini arc before that to tie up a loose end from season 3. Plus, I doubt they’ve storyboarded any of the unreleased chapters yet. At a guess I’d expect this to be 13 eps, then a couple more years wait, then a 2-cour season and finally a tie-in movie to finish. That being said we still don’t know how many chapters remain so it could go on longer than that.

I think it’s because they changed the story a little from the source material to more neatly fit it into the format they needed for Season 1. To some people familiar with the source material, that’s heresy and absolutely destroyed the story. As a fellow anime-only, however, I felt the story was perfectly fine as it was told and I’m looking forward to seeing where they take it next season.

After all, it’s not like they pulled a God of High School on us.

Approximately half the people in the world have an IQ in the double digit range. IQ literally has its mean at 100 for a given population. I don’t think I understand what you’re getting at there.

‘List’ is the correct abstract term for any data structure that holds a given number of values in an order, regardless of the implementation. So Python’s List, or C++'s Array or Vector, or a Linked List are all considered lists in the abstract sense.

I think it’s more than fair to say if he’s earning and living with you, he should be paying (even on top of the chores). £100/mo is more than fair on £900 earnings, I’d even go so far as to say £50/week is reasonable given the prices right now.

As for forgetting the chores, if he’s anything like I was at that age, I’d imagine he doesn’t care enough about the negative concequences of forgetting to do the chore to care about remembering, which is a hard thing to beat. It’s unlikely he understands the importance of doing chores, which will obviously create problems for others in the years to come as he moves into houseshares with others.

The best solution I can think of is a two-pronged approach: speak to him and explain you’d like for him to be more responsible since he’ll be forced to be responsible for himself when he moves out. Second, start charging for keep too, but offer a return on rent if he remembers to put the bins out by a certain time (one that isn’t too late for you, since you will be the one that will be doing the job by default). Another idea I’ve seen, if you feel guilty taking more money than you need from him, is to keep aside some or all of it as savings for him, to give to him when he moves out to allow for him to pay his deposit and for anything he needs to buy when he moves in to his new place.
