I was wondering because I was on the west coast of Canada on Haida Gwaii and all the garbage I found was from Asia. I found a bottle of Korean Head and Shoulders and the guy I was staying with was using Japanese dish soap that he found washed up.
A lot of garbage gets picked up by the current and deposited on beaches. A lot of mapping of the current happened when a container of Lego fell off a ship and washed to shore over decades. They have been talking about the Atlantic current collapsing due to climate change and the melting of Greenland glaciers. I wonder if less garbage correlates to less current.
Here’s an article about the Lego. It doesn’t talk about mapping, but I seem to remember reading that people were studying it. https://www.toronto.com/news/a-bit-of-nostalgia-rare-lego-piece-found-after-being-lost-in-atlantic-ocean-for/article_5ec3be6c-50ed-5129-84bb-e399299d862f.html
Wonder if it has anything to do with the north Atlantic current?
Yes, the first one was Russia. The second one was Westlemania IIX
The fun thing about lemmy is you get to know all the assholes by name. I’ve met that cob a few times now.
I see your “fuck off” and and raise you 3 “eat shits” and one “go fuck yourself”
As an aside, you are far less cool than you think. Dickhead.
I found out about it from a comment on lemmy! A hidden jem! The enshittifiers missed it! So far…

In my hope of hopes this is the exact outcome I hoped for. A liberal minority with NDP balance, and PP lost his seat!
You’re conveniently leaving out the fact that the federal Greens spent the last several years destroying itself through infighting. Remember the leader that was elected to replace the long suffering Elizabeth May who then stole a bunch of money, started a bunch of law suits against the party and then May had to take back over under a joint leadership?
They’re a novelty party, not a party of governance.
(I have voted Green several times, but never again in their current arrangement)
Quite true. The reason for celebration is that had the conservatives won they were planning to defund our public broadcaster right off the bat. We need all kinds of reforms but having the CBC around to report on them will be quite important.
I can’t tell if it’s an Americanized version of lighter or litre.
The worst part is, after you block all the foreign language communities, all the Linux, all the loli anime, there’s very little left.
And all that and no mention of other types of anodes. In fresh water boats use magnesium.
Or the real question, does it make cheese?
You can make your own feather boards, if that’s what you’re asking.
Maybe you could glue a bit of wood the size of your rabbit and glue it to the saw either side of the blade?
I just like wampum.
