The abuse comes from people who don’t play by the rules. No property auctions, put tons of money on free parking that goes to whoever lands there, that kind of shit. This is what makes monopoly take hours.

Don’t be too hard on your dad. When I went for my first ADHD test I had to do some math. I’m 41 years old and I realized with a shock that I’ve forgotten completely how to do long division. I think that’s 6th grade stuff.
I fuck planes yo
Back then I was a mess socially. I’m still an introvert but I code switch like a pro. I only break out the big vocab with close friends who know I’m not trying to look smart.
Yesterday was also our anniversary, the 10th. Congrats! I got my wife a big beautiful Dali print and she made me the most banging scallops ever with lemon risotto.
I’ve noticed that many fluent English speakers who had a different native language come across as better speakers than English natives.
Had a hard time changing the context to having kids versus you being an eloquent pimp.
I had a girlfriend try to make me speak differently because I embarrassed her by using big words in front of others. The company you keep eh?
It needs to be retired honestly. Like you said, more often than not it’s used by smug racists. There are other, better words that mean the same thing like avaricious, miserly, parsimonious, or to keep it simple - cheap.
I was right there with you until you defended that silly word.
The singular is octothorpe.
Eh the context determines the need for proper grammar. Throwaway comments on Lemmy- fuck the grammar
Unlike many of these I’d heard it before but didn’t know its true meaning. It fits.
“… and if that don’t work, take it sleazy.”
According to the article Australians are the worst in the world for clothing waste, on average buying 56 clothing items per person per year. That is fucking insane. I would say on average I buy maybe two clothing items per year. In my poverty time there were many years where that number was zero.
Does anyone have worldwide data on these stats?
My bendable glass screen is the shit. I’m never going back. It’s so small in my pocket.
My flip 6 is less than an inch wide folded with a case on it
I love my flip 6. I had a flip 5 which I abused with no case on it. Got a deal to trade it in broken as fuck for a 6 straight up. I would hate to go back to a regular phone. They are better in every way and the crease isn’t even noticeable after using the phone for a couple days.
Agreed on BMI but you’re missing the point on calories. If people want to lose weight the simplest way is to count calories. Run a caloric deficit, lose weight. Doesn’t get any more simple than that. It doesn’t matter if it’s not 100% accurate if it works.
