That first paragraph pretty much summarizes my love life, fortunately I’m not one for dangerous but plenty of stupid.
I’m sorry that happened to you. I know the feeling :(

2 or 3 squares, often folded. If the paper is cheap single ply it might be two or three times the amount.
I’m not asking how to broaden my vocabulary, rather how to incorporate the flair associated with this type of writing. I’m not entirely opposed to AI as help, and in fact this works well for me to get plebe jobs if I want - but I want to step up. And yes, I one hundred percent think good human writing beats AI. I believe AI is too easily spotted nowadays, and using my own voice would give me an edge.
I was hoping for specific authors recommended or similar but instead most replies are to pick just anyone and a thesaurus.
Thanks. Like I said I write well but informally. It’s the “professional” style associated with cover letters or product sales that I have a problem with. I’ve noticed some people can even speak fluently in a similar manner without problems.
Was hoping to see specific authors good at this style of writing but instead most answers are “just pick someone good”.
I’m not an expert but this sounds like a crime punishable by law. Holy crap
Okay I didn’t even think about career fairs and writing centers. Might look what’s available for me, thanks
My mother passive aggressively bullied me regarding potential love interests to the point I was absolutely terrified of even mentioning boys from my class as dealing with her unfounded teasing was unbearable. This didn’t help at all with my romantic relationships, I was always lacking in support in the area as I turned the topic into a taboo during my adolescent years, at home in particular.
As for my father it’s not much what he did but what he didn’t do. He’s one of the smartest men I’ve ever met, he is good at managing his finances and networking yet he never gave me much support or pushed me to achieve anything in these areas - when he did it was briefly in the form of criticism. Again, this also snowballed into an adulthood problem I’m still grappling with.
This happened to me too. I don’t drink sodas but in the very rare occasion there is nothing else I try to pick the zero types, like the other user said, they feel less sweet and less medicine tasting.
Not sure id try that since I’m not a fan of sweet drinks but I’d be curious about coca cola flavored Oreos
Citrus, in particular grapefruit, would be also a good option to freak out people
They meant hot, but didn’t dare say it.
People say I look like Carrie Ann Moss (Trinity) but as a child I had more Lucy Lawless resemblances. So I don’t know, but either case they’ll have to get a tan cause I’m more of a Penelope Cruz skin tone.
I tried Aikido for a while and did some Qui Gong as well. I see your point about the BS floating around, but the physical and also mental benefits are undeniable. It may vary from person to person, the same way some people can’t meditate, some won’t get anything from these types of activities.
I’m also afraid to ask dw
Some people here saying the same age you work and pay taxes and I absolutely agree, but with the caveat that it shouldn’t be compulsory before age 25.
And I pick 25 as it’s the average age iirc the brain is considered to be fully matured.
I personally had no clue of what I was doing and regret my first few rounds voting. I was aware at the time that I lacked the information and the big picture view of the political situation to make an informed decision though, and wished I could avoid voting entirely but in my country it was compulsory.
It’s possible, the secret ingredient is keeping an eye on it.
Measure one cup of rice, whatever the volume of the cup is now add double the amount of water and bring to a boil. Once it starts boiling lower the heat.
Here comes the secret ingredient, keep an eye on it. You’ll soon notice it’s not as watery anymore, but you still see bubbling. Stir and check it’s not getting stuck to the bottom. When you see the water is practically gone, remove from the heat and cover pot with lid. Let rest for 5 mins.
Done, perfect rice!
If it’s starting to get stuck to the bottom, removing and letting it rest with a lid on for a few minutes usually helps in unsticking it and making it fluffier.
If you didn’t keep an eye on it well enough and it’s burning at the bottom, remove immediately and transfer as much of the unburnt rice to another pot, cover and let it rest. (Add water to the burnt bottom in the original pot and cover as well, it will help with the cleaning)

Jurassic Park 1
The Lion King
Road to El Dorado
Surely I’m forgetting a few but these come to mind now
You’d think Citizen Sade came up with the story but no, it’s an article. Things like these always reinforce my belief that his stories were wild for sure but not that detached from reality.

This isn’t a contest. OP asked what was the worst, and this is it for me. It’s damaging enough for me, and it’s very hard to give concrete examples because it was damage over time. Personality also plays a role; it’s possible that other kids in my shoes wouldn’t have felt this as something too damaging, everyone is different.
Both my parents have been very supportive and nurturing in almost every other aspect but those I mentioned. I know there are some horrific stories out there, I hope yours isn’t one of them.
