The lede is buried at the end.
The problem is how the debts got there in the first place—in pursuit of growth for its own sake, of increased output with no clear needs that the new output would address.

That’s only the alcohol stuff, lol. I also do sourdough, yogurt, other natural sodas, and lacto pickles.
The key is to only get the red guts and avoid anything slightly white
Did that
definitely dont boil the juice either or youll get a carrot flavor
I did heat pasteurize, but not boil. Just 160/180F (I can’t remember exactly).
it’ll taste almost like cucumber
Eh, I’m not getting cucumber. Maybe? It’s mostly just SOUR with some watermelon notes.
a bit of back sweetening makes the watermelon flavor come back with a vengeance.
this is what I’m thinking
Success - Blond smash. Once again proves that 5 weeks in the bottle is a magic number. 4 weeks? Eh. 5 weeks? AMAZING.
Failure - Watermelon wine. It’s just sour. Not in a good way, at all. Tastes kinda like the rind, though there was no rind in it. Maybe backsweetening?
Waiting - choc hazelnut porter. choc comes thru, hazelnut not at all. Needs more aging time. I feel like darker beers need more time. It’s almost 3 months, gonna test it.
Fermenting - ginger bugged root beer. Made root beer syrup to make root beer soda. Was ok, needs work. Remaining half into a 1 gal fermenter. It was due 2 weeks ago, but it’s fine. It’ll need back sweetening and bottle carb, but that’ll be another drumroll 5 weeks.
On deck - It’s time for a holiday beer. Something spiced. IDK what. It takes 2 months, so it’ll be ready early December if I start now. Hmm…
Nothing so meme lord. Pure watermelon. It’s so sour, and not in a good way. It tastes like underripe watermelon rind. It probably didn’t need acid added and it should be back sweetened.
I assumed it was just a branding change. Was it something more than that?
Lol, that makes sense. They have completely different philosophies on business. Morhaime was gaming first, Kotick was greed first.
FTA:
According to Schreier, the problems began immediately after Activision purchased Blizzard in 2007.
That makes sense. I’ve been in companies that changed owners. The change starts when the new people walk in, but it takes time to “turn the ship” so to speak. It will turn, but it takes time. The corruption is slow, boiling-frog style.
Yes, spawn. Amazing.
Had no idea this was coming out. Thought it was fake at first glance.
Nope. It’s real. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt14824600/
What issues?
Someone who occasionally makes me feel special. It’d be nice to feel special all the time, but I think that’s unrealistic. It’d be nice if I could feel special or important on a semi regular basis. Not just useful, like a wrench is useful, but treasured.
The older I get, the more I understand the “lone old man and his dog” stereotype. The dog thinks you’re great and everyone else just sees you like a machine that is disposable when they’re done with you.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s requiem. It’s an older game, GameCube era. I don’t like horror games and this one isn’t true horror. There are some good jump scares and body horror though. I had to stop after a certain scene because of the jump scares. The sanity system is really great.
I like answering with completely bullshit made up stories. Over the top, but still comprehensible. It’s obvious they’re fake, but there’s no hard proof of it.
Good for them. Staying shows abusers what they can get away with.
Kung Fury. It’s a short film, so maybe that’s cheating. Regardless, I love the writing. It’s the perfect blend of absurdity and over the top action. It’s a Swedish made film that’s a satire of 80’s cop and Kung fu movies. Free to watch on YouTube.
Don’t set yourself on fire to keep others warm. If you want to help, ok, but be realistic about it. Also, you can’t help anyone who doesn’t want it. Also-Also, it’s nearly impossible to help someone who has a different reality than you do, which you’ve described him having.
Early access and beta and alpha terms for games. Also, early access has a time limit.
Alpha - we’re adding and removing features.
Beta - we’re 90% polishing 10% adding/removing.
Early access - just fixing bugs. Maximum 3 to 6 months.
You can stay in alpha and beta as long as you want. I don’t want to change game dev actuality. I just want the terms to reflect what’s actually going on.
You’re correct but that’s very consequential and OP asked for inconsequential
Ah, social anxiety. Yep. My first recognition into info dumping and realizing people didn’t care was in my late 20s. I really find copyright law and technology fascinating. I loved tech dirt blog at the time. I started noticing that people’s eyes would glaze over and the conversation would die. (I’m sure I did this before but never noticed.)
Nowaday, I drop a nugget or fact and let them ask me if they want to know more. It’s a skill.
