Sorry, what game is it that you’re talking about?

I looked into it some, and the closest I could find was some biographies say he slept in a bed with his grandnieces to prove his commitment to his vow of chastity. But that was about everything I found that wasn’t just some random people saying he was a rapist without sources.

None of it was super substantial and several reports I saw were directly conflicting (for example one said he forced himself on his wife and it was so bad she would throw up after, the next said he had to force himself to have sex with his wife and that he would throw up after because he was so repulsed by sex).

It seems like he was definitely racist towards South Africans, but most everything on the pedophile/sexual deviant side seems made up or conflicting with no proper sources. Until someone shows me something better I’m inclined to not put any weight into those claims.

I’ve never heard of Ghandi being a pedophile before, do you have any details?

Why is it called UMU?

An umu is an above-ground oven of hot volcanic stones originating from Samoans. After the stones are heated, the top layer is removed and the food placed on top to heat/cook. We chose the name because Valve’s containerization tool is named pressure-vessel. We’re “preparing” the pressure vessel similar to how you would use a stove top pressure-cooker – by placing it on our umu’s “stovetop”

The biggest changes I know of are things like it using ZRAM instead of swap for dealing with high memory conditions (games like GoW will no longer crash the deck due to a memory leak using all the system’s ram/vram/swap), and a revamped update system that makes system updates faster and more reliable. There are several major improvements that happened on the steam client side of things (like toggling what bluetooth LE devices wake the deck, quick BT connect menu in the QAM menu, etc) that may or may not have made it to stable already. There are a lot of bug fixes of course, many things complained about in the recent bug discussion thread have been fixed in 3.6.

Overall there’s a lot less major features that come to mind than with the 3.5 update, but I’m also probably skipping over a lot of stuff.

The GoW memory leak shouldn’t be an issue once SteamOS 3.6 hits stable, it uses ZRAM which will keep the game from crashing the Deck.

Yeah, I did hacking + smart weapons for my CP2077 playthrough so that almost no aiming is required. I imagine melee builds play fine as well.

Remnant 1 or 2?

I’m playing EDF: World Brothers 2 with a friend, and also bouncing between Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Monster Hunter Rise.

I’m looking forward to getting back into Shadows of Doubt. It just came out of early access, and recent updates included a ton of steam deck optimizations and major improvements to controller support. There are some great user control profiles already available, but I look forward to being able to play it docked as well with a standard controller.

Recently ran into an issue with Endeavour OS where the built in printer program would give errors when trying to add my network ecotank printer.

Tried using cups terminal and it worked the first time, and is still working weeks later.

So some of the GUI printer apps that distros ship with have issues apparently, but I don’t know the extent of it.

I think some people sabotage relationships for the same reason they throw video games. They have fears/suspicions that it’s going to not work out, and rather than be a victim they want to have some control over the outcome. A loss or failed relationship doesn’t hurt as bad if they caused it to end the way it did.

However in your case, it sounds more like a fear of something different. It’s a lot easier to keep things like they are, when a relationship gets too serious or life impacting it can be easy to be scared of the change, and instead subconsciously decide you want to keep things like they are.

The missing context here (I think) is that California passed a law saying that digital storefronts (like steam and gog) can’t say things like “buy game” because you aren’t actually gaining ownership of the game, but instead just buying a license to access it. Some people were questioning if this law should apply to gog since their games are drm free and can be freely installed on any compatible devices once you download the installer.

Part of what was weird is I tried paying with Google Play credit, and it wouldn’t take that either.
