How about just deal with it? Internet is meant to be free space, that includes racists, bigots, rednecks, people you disagree with.
Lemmy is worried about 1984 but in actuality is becoming Fahrenheit 451.

It seems rather suspicious how much ChatGPT has deteorated. Like with all software, they can roll back the previous, better versions of it, right? Here is my list of what I personally think is happening:
No, it is our job as humans to create great moments. All we do now is collecting, putting it on the internet and hoping for a dopamine rush from internet points.
I use them every day for commute. Trolley buses are absolute pieces of shit. Slow, drivers understand mash the throttle like it’s on and off button and in cold winters their electrical cables overhead freeze and you get delays.
Btw their electrical cables make the city look like garbage. The only ones who think trolleys are a good idea are those who don’t use them.
It’s way bigger than that. Usually cinemas receive movies in multiple terabyte hard drives. Thats because they are using JPEG2000 standard (it varies, but it is close to lossless) and a movie can take up anywhere from 500GB to 2TB (highly dependent on resolution, it can go above 2TB). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG_2000?wprov=sfla1
You could use FFMPEG to reencode the audio to a suitable audio levels without touching the video. I am unfamiliar with PLEX player though.
In Lithuania we do not need to boil tap water to drink it and usually it tastes nice unless your plumbing is fucked

How else do you think they are able to afford servers? Donations? HAH, right…
Your entire lemmy identity is based on reddit drama.
I mean your entire username is based on this topic
Sure, but that shouldn’t stop me from expressing my dislike for the content thats being posted on Lemmy.
I’ll make the analogy more clear to you. In 1984 the government got absolute information control, thats what you guys are worried about. In Fahrenheit 451 people themselves censored everything that offended anyone, eventually leading to all the books being burnt.
People have opinions, and lemmy is becoming a worse echochamber than reddit.
