I can’t say I blame them when it comes to going with what’s comfortable.
I used Windows and Linux while in school so it’s what I got used to. Whenever I use MacOS I feel incredibly lost
Fan of Linux, modifying firmwares, and open source software. Mostly here to kill time and contribute to Lemmy’s growth.
If you want to play a game together over XLinkKai shoot me a message. I have an original Xbox, PS2, and a PS3 I can use.

Many might be shocked at the controls. I do agree with the obvious point: “Why include a right analog if it cannot run any systems that would use it?”
I wonder if that’s to make people think it’s PSP compatible on first glance or if they’ve given legitimate thought into some people preferring a stick over a D pad or maybe even the homebrew community.
I like your post by the way. You have a decent amount of information and said what the system can likely run
Can you tell us some fun facts or stories?
I saw a comment once that said they are like sharks in that they can smell fear.
Depending on your graphics card there seems to be several ways to crop the screen to your liking. I would look into those. I think there are several posts on Reddit about people going about that.
I am not sure if this is what you are after but you should be able to enable unknown sources and install it that way.

I would check to make sure the wall adapter is the correct adapter for starters. It might seem obvious but a lot of people assume the barrel plug fitting is all that matters. It should be pretty easy to find the voltage and amperage you need.
Other than that I would try to open it up or research the model and common issues. A leaking capacitor for example can eat away traces on a board.
I really think it comes down to the individual. I personally think that Aldous Huxley’s book Brave New World was likely derived at least partially from the book We by Russian author Yevgeny Zamyatin but both Aldous Huxley and my 10th grade English teacher would disagree. I don’t think it’s wrong to take someone else’s work and add upon it in a way you view beneficial. I view it as a natural evolution if anything and if it gives someone something to enjoy or makes the creative processes a little easier I’m all for it.
Yeah I mean I’m not talking about ReactOS. It’s hard to measure the amount of malware per market share.
I imagine it’s weighted unevenly dependent on it’s user base and target demographic.
I agree but I feel like the obscurity aspect faded out with the I’m a Mac and I’m a PC ads
Yeah in the same remixing a song is considered original
Ah yes me the intellectual using Kali Linux to play Skyrim
I’ve been a user for years and I would agree with that. The only issue I’ve seen people have recently are with Red Hat and their recent source code policy change
Isn’t the whole Macs don’t get viruses thing a myth by this point?
There are a lot more sources for random untrustworthy Windows software than there are for MacOS but that’s on the user the same way keeping your OS up to date is.
What you would be looking for is called a source port or engine recreation. I think REGoth is the closest you are going to get but I think the project has been abandoned
How is the CFW on the Nano?
I’ve thought about getting a FunKey S or similar micro device but I’ve always stopped short of ordering one. The fragility of the screens has been a big reason keeping me back
I think it’s a bit of a bell curve. You either want to be doing basic stuff like texting, calling, and browsing the odd webpage or you want to be getting into more advanced things and troubleshooting issues regularly.
I would look to see what apps you use in a day and see if there is a decent mobile browser version.
Even some minor stuff like music playback in the background was an issue back when I was using the original Pinephone
You can buy thick water (designed for people who have trouble swallowing) at pharmacies and every so often I’ll mess with the new guy at work by filling a water bottle with it and taking a swig first thing in the morning after a weekend before saying something like “Damn don’t you hate when you forget your water and it goes bad?” and pouring out a thick stream
Do you feel like you ever got over the initial setup period? A lot of what you are describing is what I encounter after a fresh install but I don’t typically have any issues after a little bit of tweaking.
This is something I’ve struggled with. I read a lot of trending books in high school like Hunger Games and Twilight but ended up reading 50 Shades of Grey to the end and it honestly turned me off of reading for a while
I’m not the fastest reader so it really seemed like I just wasted a lot of time
