My friends who grew up outside Oz find it weird that to me “it ain’t Christmas unless it’s scorching hot”. To me the idea of having a cold Christmas is the odd one.

Both can be true: Russia can lack numbers to make a strategic breakthrough, and Ukraine can simultaneously not be able to field enough materiel to be able to recapture their losses.
IMO the most likely outcome is a stalemate that turns into de jure conquest of the territory Russia has captured and it turns into a cold (or at least cooler) war.
Fingers crossed the effects mentioned in the Chronos fight fixes an issue I had the other day - I was having a really good run with a strong build, but after the transition to phase 2 I was stuck in slow motion and stood no chance.
Finally managed to get my hands on a Deck this last week. Been having a blast with both Hades 2 and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
I was a bit worried with Pathfinder since it’s not verified, but I figured the controller scheme would be functional since they have a console version. So far I’ve been quite impressed with how smoothly it controls.
I’s often just carnal desire which results in the death of something to the tune of ~80 billion (with a “B”) animals every year that didn’t really need to be slaughtered.
I’m genuinely curious: what’s the vegans’ answer to the question of “what happens to the cattle and other livestock if everyone on the planet turned vegan tomorrow?”. It’s not like they can just be let loose…
Realistically the amount of livestock is not sustainable and they’d need to be culled in gargantuan numbers so that they don’t go from a “managed” ecological disaster to an “out of control” ecological disaster. And then you get the slaughter without the benefit of feeding billions of hungry people.
That was very quick! I expected the technical test to go on much longer than that!
Now it’ll be the dilemma of “do I buy it in early access knowing that it’ll be only a fraction of the content, or do I wait for 1.0?”
The “M” would be for mezzanine, which is usually either a floor that’s small or at an intermediate height between main floors.
Life before death, Radiant.
To my knowledge, the sapient population is the human population of Earth.
However, there are numerous sentient species that could conceivably be “uplifted” in the next thousand years. Plus, I consider it more likely than not that extraterrestrials do exist and that there’s likely another sapient species out there, though they are unlikely to be in our general volume of space
I have two moods for this:
One is a playlist composed of most of the library of songs by PVRIS. I don’t know why, but their music just really clicks with me; I can listen to that playlist all day with no problems (I usually hate listening to the same song more than once or twice a day).
The other is a playlist of non-combat music from The Elder Scrolls. Really good for gentle background music.
Who said the person was human?
I read through the ABC article on this yesterday, and I’m pretty sure it said that people who identify as women are also welcome in the installation.
That might be because the wrong snake venom will just kill you. The stuff listed in this article will make you beg for someone to kill you.
Consider the TV show another turning of the Wheel. Nothing in it prevents you from enjoying the Source.
Interesting choice. As much as I love the setting, I couldn’t see myself living in a place that has hurricanes on a weekly basis.
I’ve got a pair of Loops and they’re absolutely game changing for me. I never realised how draining / overstimulating it was for me to go to shopping centres and restaurants until I suddenly didn’t have to deal with a barrage of noise.
I personally have the Loop Quiet, and can’t recommend them enough.
It’s funny, I’ve gotten so many questions from colleagues and friends about them at events over the last six months, and even though they’re (to my knowledge) allistic every single person has thought they’re a brilliant idea. I know I’ve “sold” at least 3 pairs out of half a dozen conversations about them.
I’m guessing it’s the manager of the former manager.
Amongst other things for different kinds of stimulation, I am occasionally able to get my wife to do tippy taps when I can make her delightfully surprised, and it’s the most adorable thing ever.
I had to check whether this is was from The Shovel or not. Honestly, it’s baffling that a federal politician (and head of the opposition) is focusing on something so trivial.
Same here. Been together 8 years, and from the sounds of it they got terrible ~7 years ago.
