Because you need to transfer that heat somewhere.
150 degrees F is a normal temp for a CPU, but your computer isn’t gonna run well in a 150 degree room.
It’s missing some of the gesture customization others have. I particularly like the left AND right swipe gestures in Thunder. Plus, there are more actions you can assign to them.
Thunder also has more visual adjustments. Things like edge to edge images and post action customizations.
Also, the reply window makes formatting and quoting easier.
The feature different isn’t big though, and most of them aren’t a big deal.
I’m not sure why you think Thunder is ugly though. The way I have them setup, they look almost exactly the same, except I have nested comments in factors more visible on Thunder, which makes it a bit easier to track the conversation.
This isn’t just full magazines…
I agree about Plex. But I don’t get the love for Sync.
It feels kind of clunky and it lacks some features many of the other apps have. Personally, I’m liking Thunder right now, but I’m excited for Boost to come out.
Sync has ads unless you pay, it’s not open source, and I haven’t actually found anything superior about it.
It definitely looks promising, but I still don’t think Jellyfin and Reiverr are quite ready to compete with Plex yet.
There is. It’s called Apple News+
Yeah, no thanks.
The Philbrook is great, and there are a couple smaller, local galleries that are really great too.
The Gilcrease, Aha, Woody Guthrie Center, Sherwin Miller, Greenwood Rising, and the Discovery Lab are solid.
Lovetts and MA Doran are great showcases.
Cybersec White Papers haven’t ranked an iPhone as the most secure phone in like 5 years.
One of the biggest reasons I love Tulsa so much. The Art Deco architecture is gorgeous and I love that the city has embraced it and protected it as part of the culture.
Crazy to think what Tulsa would be now if the Tulsa Race Massacre and the Oil Slump hadn’t happened.
For those that don’t know, Tulsa was essentially the Oil Capital of the world from the 20s to the 60s. The city was growing incredibly fast and was pulling in money from all over the world.
Black Wall Street was the richest Black community in the world until the Tulsa Race Massacre in 1921.
In the 40s and 50s, Tulsa was the wealthiest city in the world on a per-capita basis. In the 1966, the IPE (International Petroleum Expo) reached its peak. Then, right as the Oil Slump was starting, Houston capitalized by host the Offshore Technology Conference which drew the industry toward Houston. If the Oil Slump in the 70s hadn’t happened, Tulsa would’ve likely seen Houston levels of growth throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Then, even the shale revolution may not have pulled Energy’s capital from Oklahoma to Texas.
Anyway, we’re doing fine. But Tulsa has a rich history that just kind of came to a standstill for 40 years thanks to the Oil Slump and State leadership refusing to put meaningful resources into economic diversification.
I’ve found Thunder to be the best so far. But I’m holding out for Boost.
Boost is IMO the best Android Reddit app and they have a Lemmy version coming soon…
Personally, I like Thunder
Just finished up Diablo 4 and now I’m playing Dave the Diver.
Looks like I won’t be playing
I agree. I hate the trend of moving away from information density. It may seem silly, but it’s the number one reason I can’t use an iPhone.
Yeah, it’s painfully obvious that’s the case.
