DownThemAll is one of those extensions which get installed immediately for me. If I didn’t have DownThemAll and uBlock origin, I’d might as well just use edge smh
Thanks for the update. In that case I would be looking at terminal block plugs. They can easily handle the current, they come in a wide variety including panel mount, and they’re cheap. What’s even better, they don’t require crimping and one I saw didn’t even use screw terminals https://www.digikey.com/en/products/filter/headers-plugs-and-sockets/370?s=N4IgjCBcpgHAzFUBjKAzAhgGwM4FMAaEAeygG0R5YB2BAFhCKtvgFZHKaBOMABg%2BY8ITbmABMA0QxHUuYhgF0iABwAuUEAGVVAJwCWAOwDmIAL7mgA
There’s also these that are rated for 300V 15A https://www.amazon.com/5-08mm-Terminal-Connector-Pluggable-Connector-Phoenix/dp/B0CM3Y1WS5/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?sr=8-1
I use something like this when repairing screw terminals that my students have applied too much torque to and broken the through hole pins on. It’s a great type of connector. But if we’re talking portability, then it’s maybe not the most ergonomic.
What are your other requirements?
Have you considered using more than one pin per pole? Ie if you had a 15pin connector, that can take 3A per pin, then shorting 3pins will give you 5 pins 9A. There will be more considerations to this though. Like how can you make sure that the parallel pins present a similar resistance, so you don’t get an unbalanced load.
Dolly and Cash?
I thought that Musk and Trump kept their wealth as cash in vaults for swimming purposes.
Now now, he’s not lying lying, he’s just really into “alternative appraisal and accounting methods”. Kinda like that aunt who does her own research and swears by essential oils and homeopathy, but with money.
Let me give you an example. Let’s say that I have a truck load of coarse sand, like 25 tons. I manage to sell a single 10mg grain of sand for 1 USD. By appraising my sand based fortune on this single data point, I could claim that a gram is worth 100 USD, thus I have 2.5 billion USD tied up in sand. We both know that I obviously can’t liquidate my sand for that amount, but that doesn’t matter, because all I need is to convince a bank that my appraisal is sound and then use the sand as collateral for a 100 million USD loan. Some of that loan I’ll further invest in the sand business, after all it’s booming. More sand equals more collateral, and seeing as one bank was satisfied with my collateral, then I will be able to get other banks in on it too. And now I can live like a billionaire, all because I have invested in coarse sand. And if the banks figure out that I’m full of it, then what are they going to do? Take me to court and look like idiots for buying into my sand appraisal? And risk bankruptcy as it’s revealed that the collateral the bank has for its lending business is worthless? Better to keep quiet and prop up the sand mogul.
Are we eventually gonna get more fusion […]
Either you mean fission, or the “more” could be omitted.
If you think this is bad, then you haven’t tried navigating the MS academic offerings. Over the last 10 or so years, I think it’s been called “dreamspark”, “imagine”, “MSDN Academic Alliance” (I liked this one, it actually made sense), “MSDN AA”, and now “Azure Dev Tools for Teaching” or “adt4t” when talking with support.
rant mode ON
Everytime the name is changed, it seems something else changes (OK it’s a new product) and the way to access installers and activate it differs. I just want to teach, but every couple of years I have to spend days trying to figure out how to get my iso’s and how to renew the subscription. A couple of years ago, and mind you this was after I had had an active academic relationship with Microsoft for 8 years, and my predecessor even longer than that before me, we had to submit invoices proving that the school owned the domainname for our emails and website, as well as a letter from the ministry of education that we were licensed to teach this course.
The support staff is very professional and helpful, and we’ve always been able to resolve renewal issues. But each year we have to go through the process of getting through a maze of support pages linking to chatbots, to find the correct form to contact support. I think the link to support form had the text “Beware of the leopard”.
Why not just stick to what we’ve always been doing?
Update: IDK wtf happened. I thought I was in the Trump golf course assassination attempt post in this community. I had even read the summary in the post before commenting. Maybe it’s an error with my client, maybe it’s user error. Anyway, I’m sorry for the confusion.
I know that this is beside the point but it probably wasn’t an AK47. AK47s are kinda rare. It was probably a Kalashnikov style riffle. https://youtube.com/watch?v=L_PR1OdS754
Packet tracer is definitely not OSS nor free as in speech. But it is probably your best bet for something to get started with. You can go on netacad and get it for free together with the self-paced introduction to packet tracer course. I’m not trying to shrill for Cisco, they’re a soulless company that exploits their position to extort insane prices. But PT is kinda nice, IF! all you want is to build simple networks and you don’t care about being vendor agnostic or only running FOSS.
PS: and cisco? 2900€ for a 24port l3 switch? GTFO, a mikrotik crs326 can do the same and is 200€ and it doesn’t require a DNA-center to enable licensing, why? BECAUSE IT DOESN’T REQUIRE ADDITIONAL LICENSES!!1!one!
That’s the next step: drop all encrypted traffic.
Maybe it’s a spin on beating a dead horse? It sure feels like it could be… I can’t keep track of all the activists, Americans on both sides, as well as aid workers, who have been killed in this senseless conflict. All the while we hear about dipshits calling for the eradication of civilians.
Padme: as in “fucking crying”, right?
