This person commented “it’s like this community never went outside and talked to a real person.” You went so far as saying this is “hateful.” That’s a strong word for a fairly trivial comment illustrating a mild opinion. They didn’t say these people are scum or they don’t deserve to live they simply implied they are hyper individualistic and don’t appear to be open or charitable about conversing with people who want to learn. To me this sounds like a reasonable opinion whether or not it’s accurate or not is another story. Saying it’s hateful is bizarre. I actually would appreciate if you could explain how you got to hateful from that comment? Genuinely I want to know so I can understand people better. I am happy to be wrong please just explain it clearly

Me? Are you people fucking serious? You’re all effectively teaming up on this one person who made a barely inflammatory offhand comment about people in a forum not being friendly then this person called them hateful. Every single downvote I have in this thread is mob mentality in agreement that it’s ok to call such mild behaviour hateful. All I have done is tried to defend this person because I don’t believe this person is hateful and now I’ve got people trying to get me to back down and accept I am wrong in my assessment of not thinking this person is hateful. Alright you all win. This person was being hateful. Now I have empathy I guess.
