When I looked into i, it didn’t cover GI tract issues, things like colitis. Literally 90% of the reasons I’ve had to take my dog to the emergency vet (which costs a mint, but those people are overworked Saints) is because he ate something he shouldn’t have. Not worth it.

Part of getting a pet is making sure you can afford the care they need, in sickness and health. If people can’t afford good quality food, regular health checks and vaccinations, and have the cash to deal with a crisis in a pinch - then it’s worth considering if they can afford what the animals needs.
