For those who don't want to watch, I'll summarize.
Chop and fry one onion, two cloves garlic, some ginger. Add 4tsp coriander, 2tsp cumin, 1tsp paprika, .5tsp turmeric. Add 400ml chopped tomato. Cook. Add salt, sugar, lemon juice to taste.
This is "gravy". You can add a can of any type of beans, or peas, or potato, or whatever you want to this and it will be excellent. Add additional spices at the end to change the flavor.
Make a huge batch and freeze it in portions for whenever you need it.
I've made basically this recipe hundreds of times but this is the first time I've seen the basic gravy concept so well explained.
