I created a new community/magazine for British/UK comedy discussion - sitcoms, stand-ups, etc.
One of the below should work, I’ve found that pasting the URL into search works best for Lemmy:
!ukcomedy
!British Comedy@fedia.io
Pretty much, but bear in mind your instance needs to already know the community exists for that to work.
So if you ever try it and get a 404 error it means lemmy.world hasn’t been told about the community yet. You’ll need to go back and search for it first from lemmy.world/search (it’s the magnifying glass icon in the site header). Syntax is
!community@instanceto find Lemmy communities, or the full URL for Kbin magazines. It sounds complicated when I write it out but you soon get used to it 😅I’m sure it’ll feel like second nature soon enough! Also perhaps it’s good for us to have to work for it a little, instead of having everything spoonfed all the time haha.
