minus-squaremicka190@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up7·1 month agoI guess they could prevent you from doing that by: Creating a timestamp Sending you the ad Refuse to send you the rest of the stream until “Now - Timestamp >= Ad’s runtime”
If it’s part of the video now, doesn’t that mean we can just fast forward through it?
Because if it’s something explicit in the stream, then ad blockers will just look for that and we’re back to where we are currently.
