Blue jays are one of my favorite birds, I love their striking colors and patterns. When I was growing up, one of the trees in our yard had a blue jay nest every year, and another tree on the other end had a cardinal nest. The males would always be fighting each other, but I always loved seeing their bright colors streak by as they dive-bombed each other around my backyard.
That’s a lovely shot. I’d have been thrilled to get it.
Thanks! I was playing hide and seek with this little fella for a while and I thought I had lost him when he suddenly hopped up on this bush and I snapped a few quick shots.
