  • Once you discover org mode… you’re not going back.

I love infinite nested tasks; subtasks, sub subtasks, subsubsubtasks, subsubsubsubaubtasks.

See check this. You start by creating 3 main points… then you need to give more info to these 3 points, and you can either insert tons of text under it… or create subtasks. Now you figure the subtasks need explanation, again either text or subtasks. Lovely

  • Mega contrast of social interactions. Now nearly for 2 months I needed a lot of alone time reflecting and collecting myself after a breakup…

Then this week is suddenly mega full where I’m attending my first career convention, meeting tons of new people at the same time having a blast talking about tech stuff. None of my (IRL) friends are into tech, so it feels nice to talk to someone on the same wavelength there.

Then also this week, looking for apartments, also meeting new people in that scope too…

Then ALSO this week I’m getting visited by 2 friends in the weekend…

Just… oh my god… I guess I’m finally finding myself back on track where things should be. But damn the contrast is so hard I can’t stop smiling both internally and externally

  • So many problems with this. I assume they’re thinking of using an LLM since it would need to read language. It would need to adapt to our ever-moving Internet culture, knowing what intent is meant.

How well does it know irony? Slang? Taboo topics? Fresh new gen-z TikTok language?

“He should step on lego… in a video game…”, no way it will work at this early stage of AI.

I think AI could be useful to help actual human moderators to THEN determine if the activity is bad or not. But that’s only doing some of the work.

I think manual reports from the users goes a long way on its own.

  • I remember there was one fact I was really beating my head on; A dishwasher should always have some food or other gunk on the dishes before starting the machine, otherwise the detergent will attack the coloring on the dishes instead.

How has no company solved this problem? It makes no sense. Many people do wash their kitchenware so it doesn’t stink up the entire dishwasher if it has been sitting for a while… idk.

I would be happy to hear if anyone can help confirm or dismiss this.
