I’ve got mixed feelings about this.
We need more housing, and density is no bad thing. I just don’t think churning out Green Squares style super developments is the way to go.
You only need to look at London or Tokyo to see density can we done without the solution to evert problem being a Meriton style junk heap scam.
There was a recent Youtube video from Building Beautifully that addressed this topic https://youtu.be/QATMxSQWyZ0 that’s worth checking out. Also plenty of discussion in the comments there.
They need to sort out their building codes and inspections otherwise this has future scandal written all over it.
For real! And get some proper insulation - both weather/temperature and noise.
It’s easy to live in denser housing when you don’t alternately bake or freeze, and you can’t hear every neighbour in all 6 directions.
