Honestly I think this is just a bid to get more aid to Ukraine because Republicans are a bunch of numpties and want to give Israel aid but not Ukraine.

Republicans are a bunch of numpties
Funny way to spell “evil fucking sociopaths”
A bundle package for both of them is politically one of the best ways to get lethal aid to Ukraine. Individual Republican reps would get demolished by their primary opponents if they vote No on an Israel aid package shortly after a large terrorist attack.
But this is the last time we support a religion-based country in its genocide of another religion-based country, right? Right?

USA for $1000 - This religion based country was supported by the USA in its genocide of another religion based country.

Pluto!
I don’t understand why Israel would need more weaponry in this conflict. Doesn’t make sense to me.
Basically it’s a way to prevent Republicans from voting against Ukraine funding, by bundling them together. Hopefully the amount of Israeli funding is a token amount in comparison to the Ukraine funding. Before the increased conflict in Israel/Palestine broke out, the Biden admin had been floating an idea for a similarly sized bill that would be almost all Ukraine funding. The idea being pass one additional large Ukraine bill to cover their needs for a long time, since republicans are increasingly opposing the small regular bills. So I’m hoping the great majority of this will be for Ukraine, I haven’t been able to find a breakdown yet though.
Israel is rich as fuck.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
President Joe Biden plans to make a direct appeal to the American people to continue funding Ukraine and Israel amid their war efforts in an Oval Office address Thursday, according to two administration officials.
The primetime address will take place on the eve of the White House requesting north of $100 billion from Congress to deliver aid and resources to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and the US border with Mexico.
As he watched the horrific scenes of violence unfold in Israel, Biden expressed to his top advisers in recent days a desire to speak directly to the American people about the importance of supporting United States’ allies that are fighting back unprompted attacks.
That desire set in motion days of planning and speechwriting for Biden’s Thursday primetime speech to be delivered from the Oval Office, one senior administration official told CNN.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen pledged to European leaders on Monday that the US would be able to secure support for additional aid and, in an interview with Sky News, said Washington could afford financing two war efforts at once.
While his planned stop in Amman, Jordan, to meet Arab leaders was canceled just as the president was preparing to depart the White House, Biden did spend hours on the ground in Tel Aviv.
