Article by Reuters reporting on the ruling by the US Supreme Court to allow business owners to discriminate against LGBT+ people
Smith and her lawyers have said she is not discriminating against anyone but objects to messages that contradict her Christian beliefs.
…“christian” beliefs to discriminate.
The only thing worse than a bigot is a self-righteous bigot in denial.
Too bad if i refuse to serve christians theyll lose their shit huh
I decided today that I’m a Radical Therian. We believe there haven’t been real Christians since the reign of Constantine the Great. Real Christians get fed to lions. One of our core beliefs is that Christians should be fed to lions. If they are truly without fault, then they shall be spared like Daniel in the lion’s den. Any attempt to refute this or deny us the right not to serve Christians will be considered oppression and a violation of our first amendment rights.
If they demand to be identified as Christians, then put forth your demand to identify as a wolf.
Right? This is obviously just targeting LGBTQ people; it only applies to discrimination towards us. Imagine a Black-owned business discriminating against a white person. Would the Supreme Court ruling have been the same?
The Federalist Society six would have to struggle to be more obvious in their intentions. Normally, cases are dismissed unless someone has standing, e.g. is harmed directly by a given incident, and often judges will dismiss cases, even when there’s clear wrongdoing, but the plaintiff doesn’t have clear standing.
Given no-one bothered to confirm that Lorie Smith was actually commissioned by a couple to make a gay wedding website, it shows just how overly eager the court was to utilize this case to further privilige Christians over all others in the US.
Not only do bullshit rulings like this further reveal the court’s corruption (and de-legitimize it further in the eyes of the public and legal acadamia) but it also further divides society. Some Christians don’t actually want to be Christian Nationalists or haters, and yet more and more they’re having to choose between their faith and their community.
The right is really trying to build their dream world aren’t they. The Handmaids Tale isn’t far off from reality if things keep slipping further out of control.
Well, that’s bad.
Can’t wait for alt right customers being denied service to see this decision disappear…

I sure am glad that my religious beliefs don’t require that I appeal 5-year-old supreme court cases just so I can discriminate against minorities. That doesn’t seem like something a kind, loving person would do.
