Remember kids: Concord failed, because it woke. Not because it came late to the party to imitate the very successful non-woke and incredibly un-diverse game… *checks notes* Overwatch.

IMO it’s making fun of how there’s no solid definition of “woke” at least from the right wing perspective. Ask a 100 tories what woke means and you’ll get 100 different answers. It means whatever they want it to mean.

There’s no hidden message or anything. The simplicity that causes it to make no sense is meant to communicate how dumb and basic all the anti-woke conservative BS is.

Which aspect? There is no specific hidden pun regarding the engine being woke. It’s just saying that the guy is angry with it because it’s broken.

This graph doesn’t make sense. How can you even more reach the bottom part?

EDIT: This is what I mean

I see your edit so I wanted to come back and explain again that woke isn’t an endpoint, it’s an end-loop. In the graph all things considered WOKE will continuously be checked again until it reaches Not Woke (if ever).

once something is determined woke by the grift, it can only be the focus as long as it is the right level of popular for anyone to listen to the scam. something to beloved or obscure won’t achieve the desired outrage

I actually found that part clever. Things do actually get declared “woke” and then become popular enough that the grifters declare it unwoke.

This is false, they will continue to argue content with minorities is “woke” and “is gonna go broke” even if it is widely successful and makes makes millions.

They aren’t well known for being logical or competent, many are extremely high on cope and they believe that because they wish the producer of such content will go broke that they actually will.

As an illustration to what you’re saying, I recently saw a quote of someone asking if the failure of Baldur’s Gate 3 will convince other companies to quit making woke games. The FAILURE. Of. Baldur’s. Gate. 3.

I’ve also seen people collectively losing their shit in the Terraria Steam forums for the past few weeks because 1.4.5 will remove the ♂ and ♀ symbols from the character creator. Many of the people who are angry are claiming that Terraria “went woke” and it’s “gonna go broke”. It’s only fairly recently started to die down, but I imagine it’ll pick back up again when the update drops.

Yeah these people really are inecredibly delusional if they think games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Terraria are going broke.

To be clear, Minorities can include demographics other than racial Minorities, such as gay women or others.

I am not disagreeing with the meme, merely expanding on the nuance of it.

Anyone using “woke” in their criticism can be disregarded. They don’t have any valuable insights of why the media they criticize is bad.

It’s woke not because of what’s in it, but why. It’s performative politics. Token ensemble casts. Empty signaling. It’s not meant to make the world a better place, it’s meant to make money. It’s like cheap pride merch at Walmart.

Only Republicans talked about virtual signalling and empty signalling because they can’t fathom someone actually caring about others.

It’s not meant to make the world a better place

That’s not something humans seem to want to work together to do.
