*I am referring, of course, to the decommissioned train station where this photo was taken. It’s a shame that even with the embarrassing state of public transit in this country, we can’t even have private automobiles with the kind of panache still barely demonstrated by this Oldsmobile.

What do they mean took from us?
Basically, the sorry state of public transit in this country is the result of various policy decisions to further enrich and empower capitalists by depleting public infrastructure, forcing working people to get their own transportation, and baking in racial segregation.
Okay…how does a picture of that car say all that? Think be a picture of a trolly or bus, and train do better job of that.

The key is the triple headlights. '58 and '60 were doubles, not triples like that.
