The half-hour comedy starring Himesh Patel and Aya Cash will spoof the behind-the-scenes world of a struggling superhero movie.
The official description: “The crew of an unloved franchise movie fight for their place in a savage and unruly cinematic universe. The Franchise shines a light on the secret chaos inside the world of superhero moviemaking, to ask the question — how exactly does the cinematic sausage get made? Because every fuck-up has an origin story.”
…
The Franchise is from Sam Mendes (Skyfall) along with Armando Iannucci (Veep) and showunner Jon Brown (Succession, Veep).
That definitely sounds like it has a lot of potential and with that creative team behind it…
Armando is such a good writer. Veep. Thick of it. Death of Stalin. In the loop. All are comedy classics and heavily recommended. I will give him the benefit of the doubt on anything. He’s built up a lot of goodwill over the years.
Really the only time I think he grumbled the ball was with Avenue 5 - it felt like he was pulling his punches.
Uhh what about the writers strike
They talk about it in the article
I wish the people who comment before reading stayed on reddit.
