Anecdotally in Midwestern us:
A solar farm went up in a mostly unused field roughly half a mile away through a field and Trees.
Since it went up, insect and pollinator activity seems to have increased around my house. No actual recorded observations, but I’m outside a lot year round so I tend to notice when there’s a lot more butterflies fluttering by.
I am not aware of any other major changes in the area, so there could be other explanations, but when driving through the farm, I also get bugs splattering on my windshield, which almost never happens anymore most places.
